Online Dashboard

How to Use the EBB CRMP Online Portal

The California Residential Mitigation Program provides a secure online dashboard where homeowners can apply, track progress, upload documents, and receive their rebate — all in one place.

What the Dashboard Does

The EBB CRMP online portal is your central hub for everything related to your retrofit application. From the moment you register to the day your rebate is deposited, every step is tracked and visible in your account. You can log in at any time to check status, respond to requests, and communicate with your assigned contractor.

Application Submission

Complete and submit your EBB CRMP application entirely online, including uploading required photos and documents.

Real-Time Status Tracking

See exactly where your application stands — from eligibility review through permit issuance, installation, and rebate processing.

Document Management

Upload, view, and download all documents related to your retrofit — permits, inspection reports, contractor agreements, and your Certificate of Completion.

Contractor Communication

Message your assigned contractor directly through the portal and receive scheduling updates and notifications.

Rebate Tracking

Monitor the status of your rebate payment and receive confirmation when funds are processed.

Step-by-Step Portal Walkthrough

Follow these steps in order to complete your application and receive your rebate.

01

Create Your Account

Visit the official EBB CRMP portal at earthquakebraceandbolt.com and click "Register." You'll need your property address, contact information, and proof of homeownership to create an account.

Tips

  • →Use the email address you check regularly — all notifications are sent here
  • →Your property address must match your deed or mortgage statement exactly
  • →Save your login credentials in a secure location
02

Check Your ZIP Code Eligibility

After logging in, enter your property's ZIP code to confirm it falls within an active EBB CRMP registration window. The program opens in phases by ZIP code — if your area isn't currently active, you can sign up for notifications when it opens.

Tips

  • →Eligibility is determined by seismic risk zone and program funding availability
  • →ZIP code windows open and close — check back if your area isn't currently active
  • →You can register your interest to be notified when your ZIP opens
03

Complete the Application Form

Fill out the online application with details about your home — foundation type, year built, number of stories, and current insurance information. The form guides you through each section and flags any missing information before submission.

Tips

  • →Have your homeowner's insurance policy number ready
  • →You'll need to upload at least 4 photos of your crawl space and foundation
  • →Income documentation is required only if applying for the enhanced rebate
04

Track Your Application Status

Once submitted, your dashboard home screen displays a progress tracker showing each stage of your application. Status updates are posted automatically as your application moves through review, contractor assignment, permitting, and installation.

Tips

  • →Status updates are also sent to your registered email
  • →If your status hasn't changed in 2+ weeks, use the portal's message center to follow up
  • →The "Documents" tab shows any items still needed from you
05

Review and Sign Contractor Agreement

When a contractor is assigned, you'll receive a notification to review and digitally sign the work agreement through the portal. This document outlines the scope of work, timeline, and rebate amount. Review it carefully before signing.

Tips

  • →You have 5 business days to sign before the contractor assignment may be reassigned
  • →Contact us if you have questions about any terms before signing
  • →A copy of the signed agreement is automatically saved to your Documents tab
06

Confirm Installation & Inspection

After the retrofit is complete, your contractor will update the portal with installation photos and request a final inspection. You'll receive a notification to confirm the inspection date. Once the inspector signs off, your portal status advances to "Rebate Processing."

Tips

  • →You must be present (or have a designated adult present) for the city inspection
  • →Review the installation photos in your portal before the inspection date
  • →If anything looks incorrect, contact us immediately — before the inspection
07

Receive Your Rebate & Certificate

After the final inspection is approved, your rebate is submitted for processing. Payments are typically issued within 4–8 weeks via check or direct deposit. Your Certificate of Completion is automatically added to your Documents tab once the rebate is processed.

Tips

  • →Direct deposit is faster — set up your payment preference in Account Settings
  • →Download and save your Certificate of Completion for your home records and insurance provider
  • →The certificate may qualify you for a discount on your homeowner's insurance premium
